CEO Katy Wallin has raised over 20 million dollars and produced several Award-Winning films over the course of her career. Recently, MysticArt completed production on independent feature Prankstar written, directed and starring Tom Green. The company also produced Award Winning Film “Finder’s Fee” starring Ryan Reynolds, James Earl Jones, Matthew Lillard, Robert Forster and was written and directed by Jeff Probst. One of her passion projects was producing Award-Winning film and beloved family classic “Where the Red Fern Grows” Starring Dave Matthews which Walt Disney released. MysticArt has always had a fierce commitment to creating content that empowers and transforms people. Wallin recently created and executive produced the real life romantic comedy “Welcome to the Family” for NBC. She partnered with media mogul Reveille Entertainment and Legendary comic Bernie Mac who served as the shows narrator. In continuing her mission to both empower and transform individuals, Wallin’s most recent passion project is being brought to life in 2008. She created and is executive producing “Beauty Academy”, an irreverently stylish and highly character driven series that will give woman across America the opportunity to build a beauty empire. Written, Directed and Starring Tom Green! MysticArt Pictures and Elixir Films are currently producing PRANKSTAR, a film written, directed and starring Tom Green. The film is being shot in Ottawa Ontario, Regina Saskatchewan and Los Angeles California. The film will be released in the fall of 2006. Synopsis: Two student filmmakers get more than they bargained for when they decide to follow comedian Tom Green on a road trip across Canada. Beginning in Hollywood, the crew documents Tom withstanding a barrage of insults, shallow hangers-on, and the loneliness of waning fame. Broken, Tom returns to his hometown of Ottawa to find things aren’t much better. Friendless and growing more unstable by the minute, Tom is met with an uncaring public and fans who can’t help but bring up his past. Things take a dark turn when a frightening series of events forces Tom and his film crew to flee from the law. What follows is equal parts madcap road trip and celebrity commentary. Juxtaposing the beauty of the Canadian countryside with Tom’s slow descent into madness, PRANKSTAR takes over where Tom’s career in Hollywood left off: by continuing to stretch the boundaries of comedy. At once shocking, hysterical, and poignant, PRANKSTAR is a twisted look at the perils of fame seen through the unique lens of comedian Tom Green. |
